Web Design Hampshire

Web Design Hampshire: The biggest mistake you can make with your new site build!

Yes, getting a stunning design is important, but don’t even think about choosing one of the web design Hampshire businesses until you’ve covered this base! Click here to find out more …

I know your time is valuable, so let’s get straight to the point:

This is not your normal web design company. If you’re only looking for slick flash pages or dazzling web design, then this site is not for you. Instead, this site can teach you something very different, something very powerful.

But first let me illustrate the top blunder where website designers frequently go wrong, with this Hampshire client case study.

Recently a client proudly showed me their new website that had been designed by a London agency for £12,000 and they now wanted to know how they could now get customers to see the site. Unfortunately, the answer was to spend another £12,000 on advertising to drive people to their Web address.

You see, this “fancy” new site was all done in Flash and so was completely invisible to the search engines. Too many people address the design first and then getting customers second. Continue reading

Internet Marketing Advertising

Will Internet Marketing Advertising Get My Site Seen?

Getting your website seen is the number one priority for any business owner who is serious about attracting new customers online.

But just how do you turn your website into your number one marketing weapon?  Should you use some form of internet marketing advertising?

Carrying out an Internet Marketing Advertising Campaign

The quickest method to be seen online is to conduct some form of advertising campaign. Pay per click advertising or PPC is the most common way to advertise, be it on search engines directly or on other popular sites. Some of the largest search engines like Google offer a targeted format where you pay only when someone clicks on your advert. You can set up an account, decide your cost per click value that meets your requirements and set a overall budget. If you enter a high enough value, your ad will display on relevant sites and search results to match keywords you entered in the campaign settings.

The upside is within minutes of signing up your website is visible to the world, the downside is if you don’t know what you are doing you might be throwing away all your marketing budget with little to show for it. PPC can be costly and the minute you turn off your advert, your site is nowhere to be seen.

What’s the alternative to internet marketing advertising

The alternative to internet marketing advertising is get your site to the top of the search engines through organic internet marketing or search engine optimisation (SEO) as it is termed. But where do you start? Just google “SEO” and you’ll be overwhelmed with the amount of techniques and tools out there. It’s not something you can master in an hour and not surprisingly, many business owners end up paying a lot of money to SEO experts to get their sites seen.

The good news is there are some simple rules to follow that will help you get to the top of the search engine without having to spend a fortune on outside help or hours slaving over a self help manual.

We’ve put together a cheat sheet that shows you just how to structure your web site to get search engine traffic.

How To Get Clients Today

Quickly Get Your Professional Service Business Off The Ground With These Handy Videos That Show You How To Get Clients Now

My name is Raglan Tribe and I’ve made a few videos to help you “kick-start” your consulting or coaching career.  Now one of the biggest barriers to setting up your own professional service practice is getting clients! You can’t really call yourself a consultant, coach or service provider until you’ve bagged your first client.   If you’re  struggling to get clients then these videos will quickly get you started.

I’ve been consulting since 2003 and have won all kinds of clients from Government to large companies such as: Toyota, Hyundai, Ford, Toshiba, Finmeccanica all the way down to the very smallest of businesses. Either way, my approach is very similar. You see, it doesn’t really matter how big the organisation is, it all comes down to building relationships with individuals and the techniques are universal.

Focus on Relationship Building

  • You need to build a relationship over time before they trust you enough to undertake the service.
  • First you become visible to a client, either because of something that you’ve written or maybe a talk that you’ve given and they approach you or you go to them.
  • Next you make contact and you both agree to some follow up meeting. All the time, your credibility is growing .
  • You listen to their requirements at the follow up meeting, maybe give a presentation and this may lead to further meetings with their colleagues.
  • Then eventually you bond and connect with a potential buyer who is authorised to contract your service.
  • You reach conceptual agreement then there comes the critical stage of clinching the deal in the form of a proposal that gets contractually accepted by the client.
  • Now you deliver the assignment with great results so that they keep coming back for more and more business.  Not only that, they also refer other business to you and your practise grows in line with your delivery success.

But there are plenty of challenges.  It takes time to get clients and land the deal and that’s time without any earnings.  Your fees have to be high to recover all the lost marketing time.  There’s endless frustration with follow up and chasing.  You can’t control the flow of business with multiple opportunities on the go.  After a while you’ll rely more and more on repeat business from existing clients. This is a good sign as it demonstrates good delivery, but it also can limit the growth of your practise.

But I told you that you can get clients today! So how do you overcome these obstacles and build high value relationships that yield business without sacrificing all your precious time. Well you either focus on prospects where you aready have a relationship such as ex colleagues or previous customers or the answer lies in Web Chemistry.

So What Is Web Chemistry?

BSc (Hons) in Internet Marketing

I’ll let you into a secret …

In good years we bring in £1m of sales, in bad years, like last year, we still did £536k.  But without the internet we’d do nothing.

You see my whole innovation business relies on the internet for:

  • Secondary market research
  • Technology brokering
  • Participant recruitment
  • Online surveys
  • New customer recruitment for our services
  • Relationship building

and so on….

However a few years ago, our internet skills were very hit and miss.  I couldn’t get predictable results.

And then I discovered Commission Blueprint.  Steve Clayton and Tim Godfrey showed me how to:

  • conduct keyword research
  • find market niches
  • develop converting websites
  • conduct search engine optimisation
  • conduct pay per click advertising

Based on their advice we even launched some new internet businesses that sell other peoples’ products.

It’s no big shake yet but they do bring in a comfortable amount that pays our rent in a high tech technology park.

Well Tim and Steve have done it again.  They’ve completely updated their training programme and included a whole load of new tools and materials.

Check out:

Again I have just bought the updated programme and really the term Commission Blueprint is a misnomer.  Yes it helped us set up some side-businesses that frankly have allowed us to survive the recession BUT, more importantly, it taught us the principles of internet marketing and is core to our business.

Now this is not for everyone, it’s not cheap and it’s not a get rich quick scheme.  Instead it’s a solid training course teaching the application of universal marketing principals to the internet.  It will take dedication and hard work to realise its full potential but your business will not look back.

Where else can I get traffic?

It used to be easy getting boatloads of traffic from Google. First you’d get some keywords together, place a pay per click advert and then wait for the instant deluge.

But then came the Google slap. You see, Google’s getting picky, they want your keywords to be in step with your ad and then the ad must be instep with your landing page. If you don’t get that right, then they’ll slap you hard by charging much more for each click…. Sometimes, even 10 times more.

Now don’t worry, Michael Jones showed you how to avoid the slap in his course.

But this got me thinking, is there another way, somewhere else where you can get traffic. Maybe, somewhere that used to work just like email back in the late 1990s.

And then I stumbled across Mack Michaels. He’s cracked it… he’s found a place where 4.3 billion people go …..dozens and dozens of times everyday! and there’s very little competition.

In fact, he’s so successful at working this system, that he pulled in $328,707.47 in his first month.

Now before you ask, no it’s not MSN, Bing or Yahoo. Go and find out what it is at:

PS I’ll give you a hint, you probably also go there every day

Developing my first product was a complete disaster!

When I first started internet marketing, I was really hung up about developing my own product. I sweated blood and tears and created what I thought was a damn good product. But then disaster, I couldn’t sell it over the internet – there was no market!

My first breakthrough happened completely in reverse. Instead of creating a product first:

  1. I found a market
  2. Built a list
  3. and then I asked them what they wanted

Strangely, I never did create a product, because I sold them someone else’s product that met their requirements and earned 60% commission in the process. I just sat back and watched the commission checks roll in … It was pretty miraculous.

Nowadays, after going through Michael Jones’s course, I don’t even look for a market. I now start with a good selling product that already has a guaranteed market.

The challenge is then to OUT-MARKET the competition so that you make money after paying your marketing costs.

Michael Jones includes a spreadsheet profit calculator to make sure that you recoup your full marketing costs before you even start.

Can you start earning internet money in 15 mins?

Now some people have asked me, how soon can they start making money online? Well you could do it in as little as 15 mins. Certainly, the quickest way would be the following steps:

  1. Go to www.Clickbank.com and set up a Clickbank account
  2. Pick an affiliate product from the Clickbank marketplace (check out the commissions which typically are about 60% – not bad if the product is around $100)
  3. Get an affiliate link for your chosen product with your Clickbank account name embedded in the link
  4. Go to Google Adwords, set up an advert against some relevant keywords. Use your Clickbank affiliate link inside the advert as the destination URL

earn-easy-money-online

Now sit back and wait for the wonga to roll in! All with no website and no customer list. What could be easier?

Well quite a lot really …

You see although it might be technically possible to make money in record time with the above steps. You’d have to be either very lucky or truly expert to pull off this stunt.

If you do lack the experience? then you’d probably pick the wrong market, wrong product, get the advert and keywords wrong and end up wasting a ton of money on Google Adwords!

The simplest way to getting it right is to follow a step by step course, such as Michael Jones’ Clickbank code, check it out at:

Getting Website Traffic

Over 95% of businesses have websites that don’t attract internet traffic. The cheapest way to correct this marketing failure is search engine optimisation. You can get to the top of Google, Yahoo or MSN by understanding the methods that search engines use to index your site.

Make it easy for their robot crawlers to find your site and then associate each page with the most relevant and popular keyword phrases used by searchers to get traffic and ultimately more customers.

What’s the single greatest advantage you can have over your competitors?

Here’s a question that was often posed by Gary Halbert, the late legendary copywriter, to his students:

“If you and I both owned a hamburger stand and we were in a contest to see who could sell the most hamburgers, what advantages would you most like to have on your side to help you win?”

After hearing all the wonderful ideas back from his students, Gary’s response was always the same;

“The only advantage I want

is…

A Starving Crowd!”

It’s a simple message really and one that extends far beyond the direct marketing discipline where Gary made his name.

It’s your job to find that hungry market and feed them what they are already hungry for rather than blindly developing solutions for a market with no desire. It makes absolutely no sense to design a product if you first do not know what your customers want or what their problems are.

Seek out the starving crowd in your chosen market and you’ll have the greatest advantage over your competitors.
